How to do get the perfect pan on tripod

I was on YouTube a few months ago looking for tips and tricks on getting better with video and ran across this amazing, simple and cheap way to get the perfect pan with your tripod....RUBBER BANDS of all things!!!

It's so easy to do and yeah you might look silly to others when doing it but compare your pans to theirs and see who's laugh! LOL!!

Your pans will be SOLID!!!

You just put a good quality rubber band on the end of your pan stick, pull slowly and let the rubber do it's magic. The first few times I tried it I was blown away how fluid it works with no stops, stutters or jerks.

I now have 7 or 8 rubberbands in my Mountainsmith bag

I've used the technique even on my large tripod. It works great.

yes, I saw that video too. Ive been laughed at for using my daughters hairbands for that. They look a bit more funky than tatty old rubber bands! They are also great for keeping cables neat.
