Description of story
Shot for National Geographic Traveler's Intelligent Travel blog, this is a piece from a series called "Around the World In 50 States." The idea is to take a light-hearted look at places in the US with exotic names as possible travel destinations during tough economic times.

Anything that could have made it better. It's longish, I know. And I had to hit the tourist highlights, whatever they were. I never found their version of the Champs Elysee, though!

Nice job, Bob. Made me smile the whole way through. like most of still shooters, we love dissolves. We shouldn't love them so much. We love Ken Burns, but not every picture needs to move. Yours didn't, but there was one zoom in that dissolved to a zoom out that I got a little dizzy over. Vary the transitions, the motion and non-motion edits, perhaps find a way to minimize the starkness of the verticals with the mass of black on either side (could the chocolate goodie have been a horizontal, could the statue of Jesus have been a quick-cut series of horizontals or squares rather than a longish move in on the vert?)
