Hi Phil,
I really liked this video story Phil! You did all the things I like to see in a short form web video story:
Excellent use of natural sound. Putting a wireless mic on the subject gave you gold in the little gems of short dialogue pops you used throughout the piece.
Strong central character. Kent is kinda quirky, but immensely likable. He is very open and your interview gets to the core of why he builds coffins. I really like the one interview clip where the camera is in the coffin.
Narration. Many producers fight the use of narration, but I think you did a good job of moving the story along with shorts narrative bridges. It was good that you didn't use a bunch of coffin cliches puns. Thanks for that!
You have pretty good sequencing of your video--lot of wide, medium and tight shots. You also use a lot of camera movement, pans and tilts, that might have been better sequenced out. That's my personal preference, other will disagree.
The one thing I would have liked to see, is some color correction on the clips shot outside. I can see it was a tough, contrasty, backlit situation, but many clips have a cool magenta look that needs a touch of warming up.
