Description of story

Chelsey Green and The Green Project perform live at Reagan National Airport on Tuesday as part of an ongoing series of performing arts programs at Washington's airports. This February, performers celebrate Black History Month.

Just starting to learn video. I'm currently interning with The Washington Post, and this is one of the first assignments I was given. Looking for any feedback, advice, tips - thanks!

Hi Tucker!

Nice job with this. I got a good sense place right from the start.

I read where you say you're just starting out learning video?? I'd say you're off to a good start man!! 

You could of over done this and had it at 3 or 4 minutes but I like the length that you had. Some things could of been tightened up a bit but that's really ticky tak at this point because it was a joy to watch especially knowing you're just starting out at this :-) 

I love the way you saw and shot this from the nice tight faces of people you were interviewing (even though they came in and out of focus a bit) to the variety of angles you had and the details. The kid laying on the floor at the :52 mark was really fun and glad you held the shot long enough for that.

Appreciate the fact that you had many voices in this as well talking about the band and it was a diverse group. It would have been cool to also add in your lower third what city or county they were from because it just helps emphasize that airport traveller passing through Reagan National vibe. 

Some might say this is a "It is what it is" kind of piece but this is exactly the kind of piece that can be turned around and put on your newspapers website that same day (perhaps paired with a story as well) and generate lots of traffic.

I wish there was not so much over exposure sometimes when you were shooting back towards the windows with the band in front of them.  I know it can be tricky and you didn't do it a lot but just something that stuck out to me

Again very nice job man and I hope you'll post more of your video storytelling on FtF during your internship at The Post.

This is awesome! Well done! Nicely shot. Good variety. Good audio. Very clean. I wouldn't change anything as far as the edit but as Eric noted, adding the traveler's city under their name would have been a nice touch... but even that is minor, one woman does say where she's from and they're in an airport, so we know they are transition either coming home or leaving. This is very good.
